Show starts with a video package on Bret Hart talking about his brother’s death (uh…..) then goes right into the recent clusterf$#@ of the WCW world title situation leading into Bash at the Beach, which was the night before.
The takeaway? They were still using the nWo Sting in 1999. Yes, I’m serious.

New WCW Champion Randy Savage comes to the ring and, as expected, Hollywood Hogan comes out. He challenges for, and immediately gets confirmed, a world title match with Savage for the main event.
Ever wonder why WCW got stale? Because this was the main event in 1999…and 1998…and 1996…and 1995.
Next, the West Texas Rednecks remind us they’re not fans of rap. Couldn’t have guessed.

Konnan defeated Vampiro by Disqualification because a clean finish would have ruined everything…or something

Ernest Miller makes fun of FORMER TAG TEAM CHAMPION Judy Bagwell and gets into a fight with Buff Bagwell
(Bagwell defeated Roddy Piper in a boxing match the night before. Because WCW knew how to write angles!)

Ric Flair defeated Dean Malenko by Disqualification

Sting comes out, makes a “Space Mountain + Viagra” joke, challenges Flair to a match for control of WCW (because at one point, everyone got control of the company for at least one week), which leads to another match between the two.
Again, this IS a repeat of 1996…and 1995…and….
They show stills from a match literally held in a junkyard that was hard to shoot, harder to follow, and injured everyone in it. The irony was completely lost on WCW management.

Billy Kidman defeated Steven Regal

Sid Vicious defeated Kenny Kaos

Sting defeated David Flair by Disqualification

Fit Finlay gets “awarded” a literal pile of trash. It is immediately stolen. So he broke even.

Booker T. defeated Diamond Dallas Page by Disqualification

After the match, Page, Bigelow, and Kanyon attack Booker T and WCW literally shows Stevie Ray walking away from the nWo (B Team, but still) and helping his brother.
Hollywood Hogan defeated Randy Savage to win the World Heavyweight Title
Sid, Sting, Gorgeous George, and Kevin Nash interfered, but none of this caused a disqualification. Because this is still WCW.
Nash powerbombed Savage, allowing Hogan to get the win. This is the second time he’s done this exact same thing.
Then Nash challenged Hogan to a world title match. Got it? No? Well, they did it anyway.
